Thing is, times change for a reason. The values question assumes that sexual mores loosen naturally from conservative to liberal. In reality, these values have ebbed and flowed throughout history, often in conjunction with prevailing sex ratios. But the problem is a demographic one. Inevitably, some pop-culture, fashion-type magazine runs an article ironically followed by an article with 22 great date ideas praising the joys of the unaccompanied life. Having been a part of the BYU-Idaho community for almost a year now, I’ve come to realize that the way things are done here is very different from what I was accustom to. For example, almost everything in class is ‘on your honor’. You can take tests at your apartment, on your honor that you won’t open the text book for answers or ask your roommate or call a friend. It’s on your honor that you were home before curfew and you haven’t had boys in the back part of the apartment.
On your honor you really DID complete the homework you told your teacher you did, but your printer broke.

This blog is my autobiography, in progress. In 50 years when I’m rich and famous, I’m sure someone will care about what’s written here. I have yet to see it from the girls perspective, but if you’re a guy, it’s like a war zone. First off you have a large group of girls that will only date you if your a return missionary. These girls are generally looking for a relationship. A lot of them plan on being married to you after 3 months of dating. The second group we find is composed mostly of younger girls.
These girls are more than willing to date younger RMs but are pretty much happy with whatever good looking guy happens to walk by. Some of these girls want a relationship, but most of them will happily date as many guys as possible. If you happen to be the type of guy that likes to go out with someone that doesn’t really care that much about you, you’ll probably be quite satisfied with this second group.
Then as always you find the group of girls that nice guys just don’t date.

Never has there been a greater need for righteous mothers—mothers who bless their children with a sense of safety, security and confidence about the future, mothers who teach their children where to find peace and truth and that the power of Jesus Christ is always stronger than the power of the adversary. Every time we build the faith or reinforce the nobility of a young woman or man, every time we love or lead anyone even one small step along the path, we are true to our endowment and calling as mothers and in the process we build the kingdom of God.
